How the Gameshow Works
So You Think You Can Thrupple turns a retro dating game into a live, interactive experience built for chemistry, curiosity, and a little playful competition.
Each contest features one Looker and three hidden Applicants behind a divided booth. The Applicants can’t see each other, the audience, or the person asking the questions, keeping the mystery alive while personalities and flirtation take center stage.
For thirty minutes, the Looker asks questions, tests compatibility, and gets to know each applicant. The audience joins in too, reacting, cheering, and offering opinions before the final choice is made.
And because this is Summer’s Home for Wayward Swingers, the booth includes an optional “test drive” feature on the back side for anyone who wants a little extra research before deciding. Anonymous, playful, and entirely optional.
At the end of each contest, the Looker chooses their winner… and the connection continues into the rest of the evening.
Contest One: Couples Choice
First up, a couple takes the spotlight looking for a single man to join them for the night.
Three applicants answer questions from behind the booth while the couple decides who brings the best mix of chemistry, confidence, and temptation.
After audience input and a little deliberation, the couple makes their pick.
Contest Two: Her Perfect Pair
Next, a single lady becomes the Looker while three couples step behind the booth as applicants.
She asks the questions, feels out the chemistry, and decides which couple gives her the strongest spark.
With the audience weighing in one last time, she makes her choice… and the game gives way to whatever happens next.
